It's freezing cold in Amsterdam as well. Went out this morning for a quick walk to the supermarket and couldn't believe how cold it was... The tiny bits of my face that were uncovered actually hurt! A quick spurt back home, and kept warm till it was time to walk to work. Thankfully, the wind wasn't blowing as hard, and not much ice left on the sidewalks, so not as bad as I imagined.
I keep forgetting to buy those spikes for under my shoes, so it's easier to walk in this kind of situation. They were sold out last year, probably missed my chance to buy them this year.
I had my breakfast smoothie for lunch today and a chicken salad for dinner, I'm hoping that will compensate for the non ED dinner I'll be having tomorrow. But that's just guessing, maybe I'll get served a chicken salad...?
Just keeping my fingers crossed the trains will be in working condition tomorrow, I'm going to a place called Soest.
Still freezing here too if it helps! :o) Today my hands froze between the house and the car and I drove the first 4 miles on snow - first car mad enough to try and get out of the village! Made it just fine. Hope your trip goes well & fingers crossed for your train. Have fun!
